Bio: Mvuzo Notyesi is a career legal practitioner. At present he is a director of Mvuzo Notyesi Incorporated. He has served as a Council member for the Law Society of South Africa. He started his legal profession as a candidate attorney and worked his way up to be admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa. He has vast experience as a leader, manager, mentor and trainer. Mr Notyesi mentored and trained no less than 20 young practitioners, both females and males who now have their own successful practices. He presided over various institutions and bodies within the legal profession and as such, brings vast experience of leadership. His practice focuses on High Court litigation, both in civil and criminal litigation. Mr Notyesi has been directly involved in complex public interest court cases. Mr Notyesi is a human rights lawyer, disciplined, focused and professional with high levels of integrity and ethics. Mr Notyesi is not aware of any investigations against him and has no criminal convictions nor pending criminal cases. There are no applications for his striking or interdict. He holds a valid Fidelity Fund Certificate and his office is tax compliant. He is the President of the National Association of Democratic Lawyers (NADEL). He has been President of the Law Society of South Africa and former Co-Chair Person. He had served as a board member of the LPFF.

Legal Aid Board member from January 2011 until 2014;
Council member of the Cape of Good Hope Law Society from January 2011 until 2016. Served as a council member of the Law Society of South Africa from 2016 until to date. Since 2016 to 2018 had been Co-Chair of the Law Society of South Africa and in 2019 to 2020 became the President of the Law Society of South Africa;
